CRITICAL NOTIFICATION SYSTEM

The City of Deshler may from time to time provide important, critical and sometimes emergency based information to its citizens. This critical alert system will enable you to receive these alerts from the city - keeping you informed of these critical events in a timely manner. To signup for these alerts, enter you mobile phone number in the box provided. This system is tested regularly to ensure it's ready when we need it most.

REGULAR SYSTEM TESTS

On the last Friday of each month, the system will test functionality by sending out a test message to your mobile phone. This should occur around 12:05pm.

OPT-IN Using a text message

 To subscribe to this service, you can also opt-in by sending a text message from your mobile phone number to #28748. Within the body of the text message, include our area code of 68340 and you'll be ready to receive the critical notifications.

OPT-OUT ANYTIME USING A TEXT MESSAGE

You can opt-out of this service anytime by replying "STOP" to a critical message that has been delivered to your mobile phone.

WILL THIS SERVICE COST ME MONEY?

The use of this service is completely free to you. However, if you pay for text messages on your mobile phone , fees may apply from your mobile phone provider. Rest assured, you won't get any invoices from the City of Deshler for using this critical alert system.
